Blue-Purple Felt Sauna Hat

My sauna hats – which can also be worn as festival or costume hats – are uniquely designed, handmade products crafted from Australian Merino wool using the traditional felting technique. Like all of my designs, each piece is unique, so a made-to-order hat will not be completely identical to the original model. This design combines blue, purple, and white felt with decorations made from white, blue, and purple silk and viscose fibers, as well as felted wool balls. Wearing a sauna hat makes the intense 90–100°C heat of the sauna much easier to tolerate for longer periods, because reducing the heating of the head also reduces the body's sensation of heat. A felt sauna hat protects the wearer's head and hair follicles from the intense heat of the sauna more effectively than hats made from any other material.
